Arcadia; The Songs we lost
"I can still see the tears in her beautiful eyes, it breaks me every time, the pain in my heart it comes and goes but truly it never goes away, and I tell myself I wont listen to the song anymore, yet I lost count how many times I pressed play"
-It always seems like the marvelous tidal wave sensation DJ Charming lived the life of dreams. From playing before hundreds of thousands across the globe in some of the most iconic and historic music festivals. To living the lavish life and all that came from the life style of such. A fairytale story of being a diamond in the rough and getting a chance to show his skills and found by the Iconic Maleficent. He had it all. But the true story deeper down. It was only so more tragic that the personal life he lived. From his twisted and intimate relationship with his said manager. To the most recent events of the death of his best friend. The old saying "everything has a price" could not be so more true. For our "DJ Hero" Char Aznable gave up his most prized possession for fame and fortune. He gave away his heart.
-Paris, France, Summer 2017
-It had been only a few days time since Char's out of the blue debut and his sudden rise into super stardom. Playing on that fateful day at Coachella to the surprise and delight of so many people. Everything was still playing in his head over and over again. Yet one major thing continued to account in his mind. Remembering signing his contract, such a lengthy and wild process it was. The last lines of agreement were so odd to him. In agreement with Fantasy Records, Char Aznable must abstain from relationships, marriages and public affection unless given permission by agency. Suppose this wasnt a foreign concept. As similar to many pop idols over in Asia this was a common thing. But to Char the feeling in his stomach was sinking.
"Honey you barely eaten anything are you okay?" -Her voice, echoed through his mind, so sweet and loving and kind. Just her soft tone sounded like the faint whisper of angels. His icy blues returned across the table gazing, met with dual color reflections staring back at him. A woman with long flowing golden hair, perfect fair skin, a softly shaped, beautiful and so kind face. She wore faded jean short shorts showing off her long and slender legs of her hour glass figure that the top of was covered in a white long sleeve shirt with a lace black crop top under neath as she finally waved at him getting his attention; "still in shock are you?" -Cynthia Lacroix was Char's long term girlfriend of a little over a year now. The two of them met at the local bar Char had bar tended out when Cindy was a waitress and instantly hit it off for their love of all things music. They were inseparable and when she was his biggest supporter, even saving her own money at times to help Char achieve his own dreams. Course Cindy had her own dream too, her voice was a gift and was aspiring signer herself though struggling to make a break.
They had even worked on a small handful of songs together, though always so nervous to ever let anyone hear them. They shared them together like their own love letters for one another in private.
Tonight they sat in this fine beachside restaurant for the first time on a legit date. Yet Either one of them seem to exchange much a word. Course Char had yet to reveal the truth, he stared down at his phone at the time. And it only made him want to look away from her more. At midnight Char's contractual obligations would start and that meant he had to say goodbye. Spending his signing bonus away on this last day with his lover. He taken her on a wonderful shopping spree and bought her so many gifts to Cindy's protest of course. "I was just wondering...now that I got signed I could try to get you on with something..the song we worked on together...we could finish it tonight" -Cindy placed her finger along his lips; "Char they dont want me...they want you love...when the time comes for me...it will come for me...dont worry about all that...lets just enjoy this night..lets celebrate you dear" -There was only really one last place that Char had sought to go. The nightclub where they first went to. Char couldnt imagine any better way to spend what last few hours he had with her than dancing under the electric sky. Yet it seemed the moment he would try to tell her. It escaped him. He couldnt find it in himself to say it.
As their dinner concluded they headed on to the famous Wanderlust nightclub in downtown Paris as they approached near the entrance they were met with a bit of a road block , Char's fame was already started to spread as a sudden crowd of people gathered around instantly knowing who he was from the DJ scene here and knowing what he done back in the states. He was hounded as Cindy simply moved out of sight watching. Char quickly panicked looking for her before bursting through the crowd of people and grabbing her to head inside; "Char...that was awful rude...you should say hi to your new fans...I would have waited" -Char looked back with such dread; "I...just...we have to hurry..." -Cindy laughed and shook her head; "what are we hurrying into...its not even midnight yet...we have all night.." -Char looked back to her taking a deep breath as the low fi bass tones soon rumbled from the long hall out on the dark dance floor as dazzling lights flickered across the top of the club. Char headed out to the dance floor and finally for a moment his worry left him. Cindy smiled and finally taking his arm the two of them danced together yet she felt the urgency in him. They danced a few more songs before Cindy stopped; "Char...I think we can take a break...im a little thirsty..and we just ate.." -Char stopped for a moment grabbing her; "no...lets dance a bit more.." -It was then she grabbed his hand and moved off the dance floor; "Char what is going on with you?...you been acting strange all day...I can see it in your face...for someone who just made their dreams...you look so sad.."
-Suppose Char knew it was silly to think she didnt notice it all. No one else knew him better than her. He stared at the ground but Cindy lifted his chin up; "look at me...tell me whats wrong.." -Char dropped his hands to his sides. "I have to leave..." -Cindy nodded; "Well I figured that much but what of it...Im not going anywhere...once you get settled somewhere in the states...we can get a place together...I can get settled in...it will be okay honey.." -Char shook his head, while he was certain the words came out of his mouth. He couldnt hear anything except the bass lines playing on the dance floor. Everything felt like it was in slow motion for a moment. As the minutes ticked down, there was sudden commotion around him. As there was a few individuals in black suits seemingly standing around yet staring at Char. Cindy gazed back seeing them. Its hard to make out the words that came out Chars mouth, Im sorry, I love you, please, it still unclear what he really said. But the sting of the smack across his face was well seen. As the tears swelled in her eyes. And the clock struck midnight. The men moved closer and came to get Char. While it wasnt the ending he hoped for. It was the ending he got all the same. The haunting imagine of leaving her on that vibrant Paris dancefloor, it was said that night, he left his heart there too.
Present Day; Ultra Europe festival, Croatia
-As time went on, Char became the monster sensation he was always going to be. And the pain and anger combined forged the path of Cindy Lacroix. Taking her singing more seriously, her voice resonated and in the blink of an eye. The wildfire Ella was born. Becoming Europe's hottest pop singer in less than a year. Sitting in one of the dressing rooms of ultra Europe just moments before showtime. A slight knock was upon her door; "Ella love are you ready!?" -Jane D'amico, a sultry and energetic raven haired girl that was the main makeup artist for Ella and many other signees to Hade Entertainment. She was dubbed "the makeup fairy godmother" as her applications and speed were second to none. She gasped instantly at the sight of Ella. "ELLA! WHAT IS WRONG"
-Ella had her air pods in as a song was playing loudly but the tears wouldnt stop flowing down her cheeks ruining her makeup, but as Jane approached Ella broke from the trance and grabbed her headphones wiping her tears away shaking her head; "Jane...oh im so sorry...my...Sinuses are just really bad right now over here in this country its really dry here..." -Jane quickly grabbed several items seemingly in a blaze of speed reapplying as she gazed down at Ella's phone simply seeing a song that said "untitled" she shook her head; "what were you listening to?" -Ella put her phone away and shook her head seemingly stopping her crying and back to reality; "just...an old song nothing important..." -Jane turned on the TV that was in the room to distract for the moment still working on Ella with just minutes to go till she hit the stage; "Dont have to tell me anything dear..."
-It was all over the news so instantly the channel on the TV was broadcasting as well, as all the world was buzzing of the abductions of Char Aznable and Nick Donia and the horrific incident that occurred. "Gezzz...that DJ Charming guy was lucky to be alive I heard...makes us thankful for the people we have around us here ya know?" -Ella watched intensely seeing Charming being loaded into an ambulance as she grabbed the remote and turned the TV off to the surprise of Jane; "good call...well I did the best I could dear..." -Ella looked back and it looked completely perfect once again as she was shocked; "you better hurry! you go on now!"
-Ella leaped out of her seat and messed with her hair for a moment before heading for the day but before she could make it all the way out Jane spoke across the room; "You need to see him Cindy...you need him as much as he needs you right now" -Ella froze for a moment trying not to let tears down her cheeks again; "I cant...Hades would never allow it..." -Ella whispered before leaving;
