Born to parents Marie and Paul Ceccarelli Sr, Veronica is the youngest of five children. She was born in Manhattan, New York and was the only girl. She has four older brothers, Paul Jr, Jacob, Robert, and Peter. Her mother and father moved from Rome to Manhattan when her younger brother Robert was four. Two years after they moved, her brother Peter was born. Thinking they were finished having kids, five years later, when they welcomed Roni into the world, they were shocked. They finally had a little girl and her brothers and father went into protective mode.
Protectiveness ran in the family, at a young age her father started hanging out with tougher kids. No one ever knew that on the side of his normal life he was working for the mob. So it came as no surprise when his boys were of age he would show them the ropes. When Roni was born, her brothers were much older. Paul Jr. was 16, Jacob 13, Robert 11, and Peter was 5. Her father felt that Paul Jr. and Jacob were ready to begin learning from him. Years later when Robert and Peter were old enough he did the same thing.
Unfortunately, when Roni was old enough, he said no. There were two problems, one: Roni was a woman and that was an issue. Two: her mother had passed away. When Roni was ten her mother was attacked. She was taken to the hospital where she spent the next two years fighting for her life. Every day was different struggles and problems. When Roni was twelve going on thirteen her mother sadly passed away. After her mom passed away, her dad almost became overprotective of her. She couldn't date or hangout with friends. He was too afraid that he would lose her too. Her brothers were the same way. They scared away anyone she took home. Never let her go anywhere alone either.
So when Roni turned sixteen, she had gotten the urge to bring a boy home to meet them. As soon as they walked through the door, her brothers pinned him against the door and threatened him. The guy left the house quickly and never spoke to her again. Roni was so hurt she just cried. Soon yelling and screaming at her brothers, her father walked into the room and told her she needed to stop. Roni had enough at that point and left. At the time she moved in with a close friend of hers until they graduated from high school. Roni didn't go to college and instead moved to Las Vegas. There she began modeling and dancing. Through her dancing she met a man named Derrick.
In the beginning the two seemed like a perfect match. Behind closed doors is where things took a turn. Derrick had become obsessive and began stalking Roni. She soon broke up with him and moved to California. She stopped modeling but continued to dance because she enjoyed it and made good money. On her way home she had car issues one night and a man in a truck pulled over to help her out. Over time the two became friends and his name was Austin. Austin was in a "club" that Roni found out was alot like what her father and brothers did. Running guns and drugs as well as killing people from time to time.
She never minded that life because she grew up around it. What she didn't know was that one of the other guys in the club knew Derrick. When Derrick had found out where she was he flew out to California. He broke into her house while she was at work and waited for her. When she came home he had grabbed her from behind and knocked her out. When she woke up she was tied up on the floor of the living room. He proceeded to assault her in many ways as well kick and punch and beat her with things he could grab. Before he left he tried to make sure she wouldn't survive but he left too soon.
Thankfully her neighbors had called the police and she was found and taken to the hospital. After a long road of recovery which also brought her close with her family again, she went home. Now running drugs and guns like the rest of her family. She is trying to put the past behind her and look forward to where she may go in the future.
